Getting Better and Cleaner Everyday
There is a significant environmental impact in everything we do. In recognizing this, we have developed a movement toward sustainability that affects what we do as a corporation as well as the services and installations we perform for our clients.
For Our Clients - Common sense solutions without adding significant cost:
New Technologies: There are significant advancements in HVAC equipment. From updated CFC- and HCFC-free refrigerants to added lines of energy efficient equipment from all the major manufacturers, there are more choices today. Geothermal systems utilizing the consistent temperature of ground water, variable refrigerant flow systems capable of constantly adjusting to need, and automated controls that can improve the efficiency and comfort of any system are readily available. Now is the time to view the design and installation of new equipment as an opportunity to make significant improvements.
Sustainable Service Practices: Energy efficiency, water conservation, reducing waste, sourcing local materials, minimizing travel, environmentally friendly chemicals and recycling all play a part in how we execute our services. We have analyzed and made improvements in our operations to contribute to all of these aspects. From GPS-tracked dispatching to better filters, we have looked at all aspects of our work with sustainability in mind.
Repair vs. Replace: It is now considered environmentally enlightened to continue to use existing equipment. After evaluating your equipment, we’ll provide the information to make an informed decision: should an investment be made to extend the life of the equipment or does it pay to replace the equipment now? Replacement often provides added benefits of greater energy efficiency; the use of non-ozone depleting refrigerants; and the opportunity to evaluate the usage, capacity and location of equipment. Decommissioned equipment is always recycled. We are happy to conduct periodic reviews of all of your assets.
Green Cleaning: We have been researching, in cooperation with our vendor partners, better and more environmentally sound cleaning solutions for condenser, evaporator and hot water coil cleanings. There are opportunities to conserve water through better cleaning practices. There are also newer tower treatment chemicals that have less of an environmental impact.
LEED Certification: The LEED Accredited Professionals at Arista and have conducted “Green” training with our entire staff. We would be excited to be included on plan and spec LEED build outs as well as consult on integrated design projects. Whether LEED NC (New Construction) or LEED EBOM (Existing Buildings, Operations and Maintenance), we're ready to help your team meet its goals for your indoor environment.
