Arista’s Blue Sky Initiative was created in response to the impact that the HVAC&R industry has on the environment. In light of the power consumed and the air polluted during the preceding decades, Arista has developed this internal division to deploy environmentally safe practices and to bring smarter solutions to their clientele. The truth is that while Arista goes to great lengths to keep its clients comfortable, we also understand that this can come with a price. By creating the Blue Sky Initiative to inform our community about currently available clean and green practices, Arista believes that we can all be comfortable without sacrificing air quality or overtaxing our natural resources.

In fact, when it comes to environmental innovation, Arista has always been one step ahead, creating its ozone guard program in 1992 in response to the passing of the EPA’s Clean Air Act. Moreover, Arista is a USGBC member, an EPA Power Partner for purchasing green power, and has recently received the MSCA Green Star for its dedication to the environment.

At Home

First and foremost, Arista believes that there is no better way to educate than through leading by example and has taken several steps toward greening its own corporate headquarters, such as using low VOC paints and Compact Flourescent Bulbs, which are 78% more efficient than incandescent bulbs.

Among its many critical goals, Arista’s Blue Sky Initiative was also meant to educate the general public about how to make smarter choices. The good news is that these choices not only improve the quality of the air we breathe but also reduce energy consumption and costs—which is good news for business owners.
